Duct cleaning is a service performed to remove dirt, mould, dust, pollen, dander, as well as other harmful contaminants that build up in ductwork systems. A complete duct cleaning service can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, depending on the size of your home and how complex the system layout is.

Below is a brief overview of duct cleaning procedures:

What we clean:

As explained in the video, our technicians who are also licensed HVAC techs, will clean your ductwork system using professional industry tools and equipment such as; brushes and special air tools, an extremely high output vacuum, camera equipment and compressed air sprayers.

  • Ducts: metal rectangular or large round ductwork called trunk lines, and smaller distribution piping (usually round) that carry air to and from various rooms of your home or business.
  • Motors: are part of the furnace mechanical air flow system that power fans or blowers in your system.
  • Fans: blow conditioned air through out the ductwork system to condition the air in the home or business.
  • Coils: are used for heating and/or cooling and can be located within the HVAC equipment or ductwork.
  • Supply Registers: are the smaller metal plastic or wood grates usually located in the floors or ceilings of all rooms, which distribute conditioned air to the space.
  • Return Registers: are the larger metal grills located in the floor, wall or ceiling that pull air in and carry it to the main unit to be conditioned.
  • Furnace or Air handler: contains the motor, fan, and heating and/or cooling components which regulate and circulate the air in the HVAC ductwork system
  • Drain pan: is a tray built into the air conditioning coil designed to catch and channel condensate water produced during cooling cycles to an effective floor drain or condensate removal pump
  • Dryer vent: a duct used to remove moisture from the laundry cycle of gas or electric dryers

The duct cleaning equipment we use:

  • HyperVAC Variable Speed HYBRID vacuum (<= 5,000 CFM)
  • Cobraview Duct Cleaning Camera System
  • 9 HP, 175 PSI Air Compressors
  • Whip lines, agitators, and skip lines
  • HEPA Air Scrubbers

The cost of duct cleaning services will depend on:

  • The size of your home or business
  • How complex the ductwork system is
  • Duct lengths and sizes
  • The number of supply and return registers in the home
  • The amount of accumulation that must be removed
  • The type of accumulated materials to be removed
